Let the Good Times Roll
For four generations, Brown’s Bakery has been sweetening up the Midtown district in Oklahoma City one tasty pastry at a time. The family-owned bakery opened in 1946 and the sweet eats have been rolling ever since. Conveniently located close to two OKC Streetcar platforms, rolls, doughnuts, muffins, fritters and more are just a stop away.
Stop in before work during the week or on a Saturday morning to enjoy one of their specialty items, including massive cinnamon rolls or applesauce doughnuts, or earn some brownie points by grabbing a hot breakfast for your coworkers. If you’re not an early riser, you can always trade in the traditional sandwich for Brown’s sausage rolls for lunch. Be sure to check their hours of operation before going. Like many bakeries, Brown’s closes early, and they’re closed on Sundays.
Brown’s Bakery is located in the heart of Midtown at 1100 N Walker Ave. It’s just a three-minute walk from the Midtown streetcar platform at 402 NW 10th St., or a four-minute walk from the Dewey Avenue platform at 1125 N Dewey Ave.
From live music venues, coffee shops, farm-to-table dining options, shops and more, visitors can find entertainment in the Midtown district at all hours of the day (or night). Brown’s Bakery has been a mainstay of Midtown and has been there as the area has evolved in recent years. With Brown’s rich history – and desserts – within the district, they are a must-do on your list in Midtown while visiting.
